I didn’t watch the Roast of Charlie Sheen because fuck Carlos Estevez so I just now heard about this “joke” Amy Schumer made. I’m always down for inappropriate humor and I know this was a roast and all, but really? It went from good-natured joking to serious personal shit in .5 seconds.

Except it was a roast of Charlie Sheen, not a roast of Steve-O. Furthermore, not an avenue to make a joke about the super recent death of one of someone’s closest longtime friends TO THEIR FACE, plus make an “it should’ve been you” joke to a recovering addict who probably struggles with those types of thoughts on a regular basis. There’s a difference in edgy humor and taking the piss out of someone for laughs, but this was a completely different situation.

I’m glad you typed out a legit response because I was too busy going back and forth between wtf-ing and laughing over their little “roasts <3” thing, like we don’t enjoy roasts or know what they are just because we hate one thing some dumb lady said about someone who wasn’t even being roasted.

Whatever. The best roast will always be Norm MacDonald’s for Bob Saget.

Because all of you totally get to control comedy and say what’s off limits because of what offends you. People like you would make comedy dead.
